RACO Chicago Program Announced

Save the Date – August 24, 2010! On that day, our Great Lakes region will be hosting the 7th annual regional Records Administration Conference (RACO) in the Windy City. Following up on the theme from the RACO held back in May, the theme will be “Managing the Records of an Open Government.” The keynote speaker will be Dr. Elizabeth Noveck, U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Director, White House Open Government Initiative. Also on the program will be the Deputy Archivist of the United States, Adrienne C. Thomas, and additional presenters on NARA’s Electronic Records Archives (ERA), cloud computing, and understanding social networking content.

RACO Chicago 2010 will be held in the Adams Room (6th floor) of the Palmer House Hotel, 17 East Monroe Street, Chicago. You can register online for RACO Chicago 2010 and see a detailed program by visiting our RACO Chicago 2010 page.

Please note that you will be required to create an account in NARA’s online Records Management Training Learn Center registration system before registering for the conference. If you already have a NARA Records Management Training Learn Center login from attending previous NARA records management courses, please use your existing login.

Registration fees (includes continental breakfast, lunch, break refreshments, and conference handouts):
$250 – Registration by July 31
$275 – Late Registration, August 1 to August 16
$300 – Registration after August 16 or On-site at RACO Chicago 2010 (lunch not guaranteed)
