One of the things that we intend to do on the blog is to highlight something from our Toolkit for Managing Electronic Records each month. By doing this, we hope we call to your attention some new piece of NARA guidance, a helpful product from another agency, or simply something that you may have missed.
This month, we selected the recently released FAQ on Cloud Computing. The FAQ provides agency records officers (and anyone else who may be interested) with a basic overview of cloud computing, its benefits and concerns, and the records management implications that need to be considered when implementing cloud computing services. As stated in the FAQ, NARA staff is working on a more formal Bulletin about Cloud Computing that is due to be issued later this summer.
