Webinar on May 30

Last month, the Archivist wrote on his blog about the changes we have implemented to our public comment process for pending records schedules. These changes have streamlined the public comment process by eliminating the need to request copies of proposed schedules based only on a short notice in the Federal Register.

On Thursday, May 30, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, the Chief Records Officer for the U.S. Government, Laurence Brewer, and Director of Records Management Operations, Margaret Hawkins, will be leading a webinar for members of the public to further explain these changes, review the current process, and answer questions.

The primary audience for the webinar and discussion is our public commenting community. Individuals interested in attending the webinar should register by following this link. Once you register, you will receive a personalized link via email.

We have also created a short video to explain the records scheduling and comment process for the public:

  1. The upcoming webinar planned for Thursday, May 30th, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, is that Eastern daylight time?

  2. I never received my personalized email to join. I was really looking forward to this discussion. Is there a way to receive a recorded version of the webinar?
