The following was issued as AC 26.2013 this afternoon.
You are invited to attend a free workshop on completing the Managing Government Records Directive (.pdf) requirements 2.2 (identifying records that are 30 years old and older) and 2.5 (identifying unscheduled records). This workshop will be held at the National Archives and Records Administration building in College Park, MD, on July 11, 2013 in Lecture Room D. See here for driving directions and metro information to the National Archives in College Park. The workshop will feature an overview of the reporting requirements and a demonstration of the reporting tools and the data elements provided to each agency as part of the 2.2 and 2.5 requirements in the Directive. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
Registration is limited and will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis. To reserve a place for this program, please provide your name, telephone number, and agency name via e-mail to email@example.com, no later than Tuesday, July 9, 2013. You may reserve places for several staff in the same email, but for security purposes we must have each individual’s name, telephone number, and email address. Please email Jimmie Greenlee at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 773-948-9024 if you need assistance.
NARA reserves the right to postpone or cancel a meeting at any time. We will make every effort to contact registrants by e-mail and telephone if that occurs, so complete information at the time of registration is very important. Meetings WILL BE CANCELED if the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces a “closed,” “unscheduled leave,” “liberal leave,” or “delayed arrival” policy for Federal employees for that day of if there has been an elevation to threat level RED in the Homeland Security status. Official Government closing and leave information is located on the OPM web site at www.opm.gov.
